Our mission statement says it all:  We provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare for the rigors of college and beyond. Bridgton Academy helps you: ACADEMICALLY strengthen, challenge, & prepare yourself for your next step into college GROW personally & socially into a mature young man who is well prepared for college's myriad challenges, including those found in your residence hall and around campus in non-classroom settings. ATHLETICALLY develop your physical and mental talents & skills to compete in college athletics Our young men are truly a step above.  They and their families care about their future success.  Spending a year at Bridgton Academy is not a vacation.  Rather, it is a high yield investment in your future if you commit to the academic, athletic, and residential life program that we will lay out for you. Because all of our students are post-graduates, we are able to offer you a true "transition" year that emulates the college environment and experience, yet offers a strong adult leadership support structure not available to the typical college freshman straight out of high school.  Our website illustrates the programs and resources provided at Bridgton Academy to help you master the challenges you will incur in college.  Included among them are our: College Articulation Program (CAP), offering actual college courses for transferable credit Learning Strategies Program, where you grow to understand your own learning style, then develop strategies for academic success. SAT Prep program, taught by professionals with the goal of improving your scores to meet the standards of your college of choice.
